Dear Brothers and Sisters

As most of you would know the recent calls by some Federal Parliamentarians to Ban the Hijab in Public Schools has attracted the attention of many people within different sectors in our society. This call for the ban of the hijab is an outright challenge of Human Rights in our own Australian Backyard.

We must unite our front to say ‘no’ to such a ban and ensure that the rights of Muslim Women in Australia are not violated.

Attached is the Pro-Hijab Declaration. We urge you to support the declaration by emailing all your relevant details; (your name; organization ; position; State and contact details) and addressing it to admin@mwa.org.au.

Once we have your support we will then collate it and include it in the declaration which will be forwarded to the Prime Minister.

Please circulate to all your contacts. We are looking forward to receiving all your support and signatures at your earliest convenience.
