Australian Women Together

Australian Women Together is a network of women from the Muslim faith and other faith traditions.

We plan to meet together regularly in an atmosphere of mutual respect and friendship, in order to discuss issues that concern us all as women who live in this country. Initailly, we will meet on the first Saturday of each month.

We hope to develop relationships of trust which will enable us to help and support each other, both as individuals and as members of our communities.

Within the framework of the association, special interest groups will focus on issues such as Education (including visits to schools; writing workshops for girls and young women); Refugees; Publication.

Forthcoming Events:
SATURDAY 4 MAY: 2pm to 3pm: Organisation and Planning: Women who want to participate in the organisation of Australian Women Together and /or the special interest groups are invited to meet at 2pm at the Muslim Women Association, 47 Wangee Rd. Lakemba (10 minutes walk from Lakemba station).

3pm to 5pm: Women's Rights Discussion Forum. Meredith Burgmann and Nada Roude will introduce the discussion. Meet at Muslim Women Association 47 Wangee Rd Lakemba.
